“O Lord, mold me. Miraculously change me. I willingly submit to You. Today, I yield my heart, my character, and my ways into Your hands. I am ready to be redefined by Jesus.”
This has been the cry of my heart. God is calling me, and you, to depend on Him as our daily bread, to surrender, dwell, and abide in His presence. It’s an openness to His plans, His ways, and His design for our lives.
When I think of the Potter and the clay, I’m reminded of daily manna, the way God provided for Israel one day at a time. Just as they had to depend on Him daily, so must we.
Every time we surrender our plans, we are being slowly redefined by Jesus.

The Potter’s House
“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’shand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.” – Jeremiah 18:6
This lesson wasn’t simply “God can do whatever He wants.” It is not just a picture of God’s power, it’s a revelation of His mercy and response to His people. God responds to His people according to their choices. His promises are sure, but our ignorance, drifting, and stubbornness can keep us from walking in them.
These last few weeks, God has been pressing this into my spirit:
- We cannot afford to live in ignorance.
- We cannot afford casual faith or lip service.
- We cannot afford to follow our own plans.
Instead, He is calling us into a real encounter, a knowing of Him that moves us beyond doubt and drifting, into a place of surrender and obedience.
The journey from ignorance to encounter is a journey of being spiritually redefined by Jesus.
The Call Out of Forgetfulness
Jeremiah 18:15 says: “My people have forgotten me.”
How often do we forget? We forget the miracles, the healing, the ways He has provided, the deliverance. We forget His Word, His truth, His power, and even His victory.
Instead, we settle for living defeated, living mediocre, when God has called us to walk in power, authority, victory, and abundance. Abundance of joy, peace, and grace.
But hear this: More is your portion.
And that “more” is only birthed and sustained in His presence.
My Confession
There have been times when I’ve forgotten God and turned my own way. Times when I’ve forgotten what it’s like to hunger for righteousness.
There have been times when I’ve lived for myself instead of His presence.
But I repent. Father, forgive me. Today, I receive the Word You spoke to Jeremiah: “Arise.”
God is moving us from a state of rest and passivity into movement and purpose into His presence, into obedience, into mission.

Our Call as the Body
What does it look like to arise? It means obeying what He’s calling us to do, individually and corporately.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19–20
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35
We are the clay in God’s hands. Lord, rework us like the potter reworked the clay. Shape us into another vessel fit for this season, fit for who You are redeeming us to become.
The Call to Action
What is God requiring of you in this season?
- To surrender something?
- To move in faith?
- To step into obedience?
- To take a new action?
Don’t rush past this question. Carefully consider what the Lord is leading you to do.
Each moment of trust and dependence is a chance to be spiritually and emotionally redefined by Jesus.
How to Hear His Voice
If you’re unsure what God is asking you, here are steps to help you hear Him clearly:
- Worship. Step into an atmosphere of praise so you can hear Him.
- Journal. Pull out your pen and write what He speaks.
- Read the Word. Let the Spirit illuminate truth.
- Listen with expectation. Believe He will speak.
- Pay attention. What keeps showing up in your heart, in conversations, even on your feed? God is always speaking, we need to tune in.

What God is Showing Me
Here’s what the Lord is pressing into me personally:
- Go deeper. In His Word, in His presence. Depth over surface.
- Hunger and humility. Cultivating a strong appetite for Him while staying low before Him.
- Dependence and trust. Not idle waiting, but active pursuit in prayer, worship, and expectancy.
- Action and obedience. When He speaks, I move, whether in my words, attitude, writing, or serving.
Let’s Pray
Lord, rework us like the potter reworked the clay. Shape us into vessels that carry Your glory in this season. From glory to glory. Forgive us for the times we’ve forgotten You, and awaken our hunger for Your presence. Teach us to depend on You for daily bread. Redeem us into who You have called us to become. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
